About Me

Hi! I’m Tim.

I’m an Emmy-winning, DEIA-trained Mindfulness Meditation Teacher who utilizes my experience as a Fortune 500 Executive and two-time startup Founder to help executives, employees & organizations thrive.

My current clients include some of the world’s best comedians through my partnerships with The Comedy Store, The Improv & Comedy Gives Back, as well as Michelin Star Chefs, Studio Heads, Network Executives and regular folks like you and me.

Certified through University of California, Berkeley's renowned MMTCP Program, I began teaching Mindfulness Meditation over 15 years ago. Here’s how the corporate work started:

In 2010, I launched MTV Networks' first Mindfulness Program and immediately became enamored with helping businesses harness the power of their greatest asset: people! During the next 13 years, I trained high-level executives throughout corporate America at companies like Amazon, Endeavor Agency, Netflix, AirBnB, and more, while implementing the same techniques and insights in my “other life.”

Speaking of my "other life,” I did some pretty cool things. As Senior Vice-President at Viacom (now Paramount,) I ran daily operations for a $50MM TV Production and Development unit that employed up to 200 staff, crew, writers, producers, directors and on-camera talent at any given time.

In 2013, I launched my first startup, Ugly Brother Studios, which became widely known as one of the premier Food & Travel production companies in Entertainment. During this time, I created, sold, produced, and directed over 12 series, garnering nine Emmy Nominations, two life-changing wins, and 4 James Beard Award Nominations.

In 2020, I launched YumCrunch.com. A food-culture and content startup for social media that gives viewers the chance to “Eat what they see.”

By far the greatest achievements of my life are the relationships I’ve developed with my 3 kids Liam, Jack and Isla, my brilliant wife Catherine, and the remarkable people with whom I’ve worked along the way.

Through mindfulness and meditation, I’ve learned how to be truly alive to these people and to my own body and mind. Alive to the births of my children, the struggles of business, the joy of winning awards, the challenges of divorce, the loss of my father, the bliss of falling in love and, like us all, a freakin’ pandemic.

I attribute the peace and success that I’ve found in my life, to my greatest teachers:

1) My old friends Anxiety and Depression, who are now more like kind messengers who appear and disappear like clouds in the sky.

2) Three decades of meditation practice (which provide the space for #1 to exist as messengers, not adversaries)

3) My core teachers, luminaries in the field of Mindfulness including Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Vincent Horn, Kenneth Folk, and Michael Taft.

May we all be happy, healthy and well.

Kindly,

Tim
